Those passing by our office at 318 E. Third Street in Davenport have probably noticed several new faces in the windows of our storefront.   Over the past several months we have been fortunate to have quality projects that have enabled us to grow our staff strategically by hiring project manager level architectural staff, outstanding interns over the summer, and recent new graduates with resumes that jump off the page.  In no particular order, I would like to introduce our growing team to those who have not been by our office in awhile.

Jonathon Carstens joined last June after working for Italo Milani in Rock Island.  He has 10+ years of experience working on small and medium size projects in the Quad Ciites which has allowed him to develop relationships with local building officials, local contractors, and has a special interest in improving local architecture to make the Quad Cities better with every project.

Alvin Hamilton joined last July after graduating from the University of Illinois with his Masters of Architecture.  Prior to going back to school, Alvin fulfilled his internship development hours while working at a hospitality design firm where he had the opportunity to develop projects such as Labriola cafe' and The Dearborn in Chicago.  While in graduate school, Alvin led the Architectural fabrication shop, was a teaching assistant, and worked part-time for his previous employer.

Joshua Arguello joined in early September after finishing the University of Iowa's Children Hospital with Heary Design in Iowa City.  Josh's experience with highly intensive projects using Revit has strengthened our construction documentation and has further streamlined our practices using Revit.  Josh is a Davenport resident and is looking forward to improving the community through quality design.

Nakaya Davis became our first employee in our Rockford studio this month.  She is a recent graduate from Judson University with her Bachelors in Architecture.  After graduating last May, she worked for a small architecture firm where she developed experience in residential architecture.  Nakaya is excited to be back in Rockford and to develop her training in all levels of design and construction.

Joe Hotle joined last month as our office coordinator and field photographer.  Joe's position as office coordinator includes the firm's accounting, documenting existing buildings, marketing, and keeping Drew organized.  He is also the owner of JMH photography and has extensive experience in landscape photography, which has been featured at local art installations and exhibits.

The goal is to create high level architecture while maintaining the small firm stmosphere.  This is only done by attracting and maintaining top tier architects.  We believe we are well on our way to creating our Navy Seal team!
